Robert D. Gunn
Robert D. (Bob) Gunn passed away August 3, 2024. Bob was pioneering geologist and a former president of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists from 1978-1979. He was the recipient of numerous awards from the AAPG including Honorary Membership, and its highest award, the Sydney Powers Memorial Medal, which he received in 1997. In addition to his national involvement, Bob also served as president of our local North Texas Geological Society in 1968-1969.

Gregg A. Norman
Gregg A. Norman passed away at his home on October 17, 2024. Gregg was a highly respected geologist who was the recipient of a number of industry awards including the A.I. Levorsen Best Paper (1998), and Monroe G. Cheney Science (2015) awards from the Southwest Section of the AAPG, and most recently the prestigious Norman H. Foster Exploration Award from the AAPG presented IMAGE, August. Gregg served in numerous positions in geological societies including President of the Southwest Section of the AAPG (2013-2014), and President of the North Texas Geological Society (1997-1998).
